I like a good challenge and one of the hardest things to shoot in my opinion is food. Personally, I have had zero experience shooting yum yums and had no idea where to start. The only thing I knew is that I wanted to be a little unusual, a little unique. So the idea of a “deconstruction” came forth. (Thanks Top Chef and that little mynx Padma). My goals were tight angles, shallow depth of field, and to question even what you were looking at. Everything was shot OUTSIDE with natural light and mirrors for reflection, which was a pain in my padded ass, but I think they came out great. Here’s a taste…..but check out the rest at www.row11photo.com
And here’s Padma!
I need a logo. I am not a graphic designer. At least not in Illustrator. So what’s a boy to do? Find a GD, shoot some product photos for their portfolio and in return….logo time! So here is the shoot I did for her….Lisa did an amazing job on creating this “GoGo Yogurt” product and my final logo, sans colors!
And for those that like to peer backstage:
